Phoenix Heights

Located around Frame Park, Phoenix Heights neighbors have been busy building a stronger neighborhood by creating block clubs, hosting educational events, connecting neighbors with resources and partnering with local agencies in strategic action.

How can you get involved?

1. Join the Phoenix Heights Neighborhood Advisory Team

This group is made up of residents, elected officials and agency personnel. we are looking for new faces and new ideas to help make the neighborhood an even better place to live! Join us to identify and address issues, review and share neighborhood information, and plan responsive programs.

2. Join or help create a Neighborhood Block Club

3. Phoenix Heights Learning Community

This committee is made up of residents, community partners, elected officials, neighborhood businesses and school personnel. We are looking for new faces and new ideas to help make Phoenix Heights of Waukesha an even better place to live! Join us in planning events and activities in your neighborhood.

4. GROW  Program

GROW is a resident-driven research project using containers for vegetable gardening. Participants receive planters in the summer and learn to grow their own vegetables without planting them in the ground. Money is saved by eating vegetables grown in an urban setting! Read the 2010 Newsletter

5. LaTEENo Leadership 4-H Club 

Formed in fall 2007 and located in Phoenix Heights, this group is the first Latino 4-H club in the state of Wisconsin. It involves 35 youth and families who participate in neighborhood activities such as community service and dramas showcasing heritage including: 4h cloverFor more information, check out the Waukesha County 4-H web page.

6. Join the Drug Free Communities Coalition

Drug Free Communities Coalition consists of individuals and organizations across the county working together to reduce substance abuse among local youth. Their efforts include targeting alcohol, over-the-counter prescription drugs, and illegal (as well as legal) drugs.
